About Cute Snail

Cute Snail Popcorn And Hearts Square Coloring Page

Inspired by the work being done at The Snail Hospital (On Instagram) Juliet created the Cute Snail character as a means to merge her love of whimsy and her need for a creative outlet that she could easily devote her time, energy and effort to as her health allowed for the long haul without becoming overwhelmed or burnt out.

Cute Snail Popcorn And Hearts was the very first drawing we did.

About Juliet

Hi Everybody! I’m Juliet Parrott-Merrell – Temecula California  resident, Portland, Oregon native, whimsical cartoon and Cute Snail artist. These days, due to chronic illness, pain and fatigue that need a fair amount of TLC, I spend most of my time sitting at our kitchen table taking it easy – drinking creamy cups of coffee, enjoying snacks, and going back and forth between creating art, writing and watching YouTube or TV. My Favorite shows to Watch nowadays are Laramie, Wagon Train, The Virginian, Cheyanne, Have Gun Will Travel, Gunsmoke and other classic westerns – the beautiful 1960’s era color episodes of course. Not only are they beautiful to look at – but they often offer the most riveting storylines as well. I also enjoy Adam 12, Emergency! The Rockford Files, Magnum PI, Blue Bloods, Quantum Leap, Knight Rider, The People’s Court, and an occasional episode of Divorce Court, Cutler’s Court, and On Patrol Live. Still love The Good Doctor too – and anything Ted Danson.

My husband Paul and I are also avid baseball fans. The San Diego Padres are our home team, but I also have a tendency to root for the Seattle Mariners, any team that has to do with space or heaven or is named after a bird – and the San Fransisco Giants, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the LA Dodgers of course!

I also love enjoying and exploring the outdoors when my health, time and wheelchair accessibility will allow. City parks and parklettes, older residential neighborhoods, farmer’s markets, street fairs, forested areas, cemeteries and land that belongs to American Indians are my favorite places to explore. Since going out here in Temecula is so much more difficult for people in my circumstance, most of my outdoor exploration these days is relegated to daily walks around  our neighborhood. If you’d like to see the pictures I’ve been taking, you can visit my Instagram here.

For those of you who might be interested, I was born with cerebral palsy, born and raised in Portland, Oregon, use a power wheelchair and only see partially out of one eye My other eye was removed a few years ago due to an eye stroke and glaucoma.

I’m also married to Paul and love cats, rainbows, flowers, sunshine, sweet pictures and funny and sarcastic memes.
